Mexico at Last!

Hey,

I'm here in Mexico.  The flying went fine.  Talk about culture shock I cant understand crap! ha-ha  My first day we went to church, ate lunch with some members, and after that I was able to meet my mission  president.  We traveled 30 minutes by  bus and train to arrive at church.  As I was told people are crazy drivers here in the city!  No joke!!!  Its wield I would never want to drive here that is for sure.  I love it here.  I feel like I really love the people and I love the atmosphere.   We stayed in the mission home for 2 nights.   I am assigned to a trio companionship. My new area is Chalco, Mexico.  We have a district meeting tonight and my pdays are now on Mondays.  Be sure to send any letters to the mission office. I get mail once every 2 months more or less.  I will try to send out mail every week.  I have a crazy feeling I'm going to be very busy for the next 22 months. ha-ha.  I love you all and miss you.  We went to a lesson.  We taught the Fam Torres for the first time.  We invited them the be baptized and they accepted.  Things are good here!  We have taught several other families.  I love it here.  The people are all way awesome.  We only make breakfast in our house.  The people are always feeding us and giving us food.  I love the food!!  The people are very humble here that's for sure.  There are a lot of lizards all over the place and enough dogs to last a life time.  ha-ha  I am sending  pictures of the volcano and of my back yard!  I love you all and hope you have a great week!!  I would love to hear from you all.

Reassigned to the Boise Idaho Mission

HEY!!!!

This will be one of the last Emails you get form me here....tomorrow I’m taking my pday! I’m getting re assigned to the Boise Idaho Mission (not even joking)!!  But only for 1 day!!  Then I have a meeting with the Mexican Consulate in Boise and will receive my Visa and Passport.  I fly from Boise to Mexico City!!! There are 93 missionaries that need visas. 12 received  permisos to go to the consulate in Salt Lake to have an interview with some one. ( the guys in my district got these) Then, they have to wait for 2 weeks for their visas unless they are rejected.  6 of the 93 skipped this step and received visas.  The weird thing is me and my comps got our visas so out of the 6, 3 are us.  ha-ha.  The rest are going to be re assigned for 2 months. We got way lucky!! So I will be in Boise for a day and a half. ha-ha.  Well I will be a Boise missionary!  YES!  I got my info I,’m freaking way excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ha-ha

Yo!
No my day isn’t here yet unfortunately.  We need our Permisos to go to the Mexican Consulate .   I think I wrote about in my letter. Well, on Thursday morning my district got called down to the travel office.   Four  of the seven  received there permisos.    I’ m sure your thinking it, we all know gravers have great luck.  No, I didn’t get my visa, neither did my comps.   The 5 of us that did not get them had our names sent back to Salt Lake for Re-assigning (temporarily) until our visas arrive.  We will know our temporary mission and have flight plans Wed. or Thurs. of next week.  I will be leaving for the said mission on the 13th or 14th.  So, I have another week here. Its kind of lucky for me because if I had received my permiso I would be here most likely for 2-3 more weeks.  They won’t be re assigned.
Well this week was a good one. On Tuesday night we had our General Authority Fireside.  Yes,  we heard form Elder Holland and Elder Nelson! It was a way cool experience!! For sure!! It was the 50th anniversary of the MTC and 5 building were re built.  Elder Nelson Re-dedicated them. It was a way cool experience to be a part of.
