MAR 2012

Hey!

This week was ok we found nearly 20 new investigators so that pretty much rocks.  We are really focusing on having the members help us out.  I still have trouble understanding the language, however, it is getting better!   Still drives me nuts at times!  HA HA
We have more baptisms planned for this weekend.   We did have a couple drop out.  We knocked on a lady’s door and talked with her.  She was cool.  It was fun to speak with her.  We have a goal to have 14 baptisms this month.  Sounds like a crazy number but we can do it if we really get to work and work hard and not just half way do everything.  We confirmed a family last Sunday.  It was really cool to see. I was able to go to Mexico City other day for my green card.   I was able see the rest of the guys from my district in the MTC for the day. That was pretty cool.  Then today for p day we went back to the center. There is a mythical tie shop there, owned by some Chinese people.  There is supposed to be a bunch of ties....so we went to find it....and we did!!  I purchased 12 ties for about 20 American dollars!! Ha ha!  We are eating well!   I love the food here.  Although,  I ate grasshoppers the other day.  They are HORRIBLE!  I wouldn't suggest eating them!!  My favorite drink is Agua de Jamica!   Its the best.  Its made out for flower pedals.  I have also had chicharon.  ( not sure how to spell it) It is pig skin....  sounds gross but it is good!  The people are taking real good care of us!   We hiked to a dormant volcano!!!  We were able to seethe other volcano really good.  I think I got a headache from the altitude. We were at 13000 ft when we got out of the car.  We hiked straight up the mountain!!! i would guess 14000 to 16000 feet,  no lie. The air was way thin and way fresher then the air in the valley. Ha ha.  Well i got to take off now have a great week!!
